ALEX LOFOCO

An internationally renowned electric bassist, Alex was born and raised in Rome before moving to London where he completed a degree in Popular Music at the University of West London.

Alex's first progressive fusion album, Beyond, features A-list guest artists such as Marco Minnemann on drums (Aristocrats), keyboardist Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater), Eric Marienthal on saxophone (Chick Corea Elektric Band), pianist Jesus Molina and guitarist, composer and co-producer Roby Meola.

Alex conducts masterclasses and clinics around the world, invited by music schools such as the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, BIMM and ICMP in London, to name a few. Alex gave his very first masterclass at Tech Music School in London while he was still a student there.

As an author, he publishes his guitar and bass method SCALE COLOR SYSTEM - an innovative system for demystifying and unlocking the fretboard. This unique approach has received praise from the press and world-renowned musicians (learn more). Available in English, Italian and Spanish, it has been sold in over 50 countries around the world.

Supporting leading musical instrument companies, Alex often participates in international trade shows such as the NAMM Show, Guitar Summit, Musikmesse Frankfurt, Montreux International Guitar Show and the London Bass Guitar Show.
