VINCENT SCHMIDT

Born in Switzerland in 1997, Vincent Schmidt is a Fingerstyle virtuoso whose playing blends a variety of techniques influenced by his masters such as Tommy Emmanuel and Jon Gomm, to name but a few.

He has already released three solo albums, most recently in 2023. In addition to his jazz studies, his musical career is marked by concerts, masterclasses as a DOWINA brand ambassador and teaching, and continues to attract enthusiastic audiences.

At 18, after studying 9 years of classical and electric guitar at the Epalinges music school and 2 years of jazz guitar at the EJMA, Vincent released his first Fingerstyle guitar album called Feelings, featuring his own compositions.

Vincent released his second solo album entitled "Between Hope And Fire" in May 2019, and his third solo album called "Ode To Breath" in 2023.

After finishing his studies, Vincent flew to London for a year in 2017 to concentrate fully on Jazz guitar. Back in Switzerland, he continued his musical studies for a year at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern.

In 2019, he passed the entrance exam to the HEMU to continue a Bachelor's degree in Jazz guitar.

In 2021, he becomes Swiss ambassador for the Slovakian guitar brand DOWINA. He promotes this brand in Swiss music stores.

Vincent also pursues his passion for music by giving guitar lessons with his online academy "COMPOSITION Guitar Academy", an academy he founded with his friend, talented Fingerstyle guitarist Adrien Delamarre.

He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Jazz Pedagogy at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU).
